Danish Refugee Council is advertising for an experienced and capable CSMC, who is able to undertake the responsibility of leading, coordinating and overseeing DRC CSMC activities in the DRC areas of operations over Lebanon.

Who are we?
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
Since May 2011, DRC has been actively involved in  the Lebanon emergency response to the Syrian crisis with presence in the North , East (Bekaa valley ) and South of Lebanon. . The DRC response is designed around 4 majors sectors: Food /NFI distribution, Protection , Shelter and livelihood support . As such, DRC is positioned in Lebanon as a main implementing partner of UNHCR , UNICEF , WFP , ECHO and DANIDA , implying a rapid expansion of its program and structure.

Duties
The CSMC Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the CSMC programming, provision of technical support, donor compliance, compliance with DRC Lebanon Overall Strategy, Sector Strategy, SoPs, and contribute to the development of DRC CSMC programming in Lebanon.
• Provide technical support, supervision, and guidance to the CSMC teams ;
• Develop comprehensive and tailored capacity building plans and SoPs for CSMC staff and implementing partners based on respective needs and ensuring quality services;
• Assist the field-based CSMC managers in the assurance of donor compliance, including appropriate and timely spending of grants to achieve program goals, grants reporting contributions, use and distribution of supplies and resources ;
• Represent DRC before relevant donors at Beirut and/or field levels (if/when required) on CSMC programming and CSMC-related issues, and prepare proposals to secure follow on or expansion funding for the CSMC program as per identified needs and in line with the Protection strategy ;
• Work closely with other DRC sectors (Shelter, Community Empowerment and Livelihoods, Communication) to ensure that issues are addressed across sectors and humanitarian interventions is properly completed ;
• Coordinate with central/local authorities and stakeholders to involve them in activities and promote integration of the collective sites within host communities ;
• Work closely with the M&E department to develop and implement ethical and safe monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, including qualitative tools and analysis; 

About you

To be successful in this role you must have Relevant degree, related to social sciences; Fluent in English and minimum 5 years of work experience in emergency and humanitarian response operations on displacement related affairs, preferably in camps and camp-like situations; Minimum 3 years of direct experience in camp management/collective shelters management; Minimum 3 years of direct experience in managing large scale shelter projects; Previous experience in Lebanon and/or in the Middle East Countries.

Ideally you will also be fluent in Arabic.
