The position
The Foundation runs a wide range of projects and programmes with funding and grants from external parties. We are seeking a Finance Manager to support the Foundation’s Programme Directors and Managers with the financial management of these programmes. This role will report to the Finance Director of the Foundation.   

Key Responsibilities
To support Programme Managers in preparing budgets as part of funding proposals and to  develop methodologies for allocating Foundation costs to the budgets.
To provide support in setting up and reviewing contracts for successful bids.
To manage and develop the accounting for all programmes including supporting programme managers in tracking costs and revenue against budget, managing reporting on programmes for the monthly management accounts and annual financial statements and preparing quarterly forecasts.
To track all project deliverables and support Programme Managers in providing reporting to funding providers.
To provide ad hoc financial analysis and financial modelling to support business objectives and to support with the strategic direction of new projects.
To support the preparation of information for grant audits and assist in providing responses to questions from the external auditors.
Other ad-hoc responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant. Bachelors Degree.
Financial analysis-related experience required.
Experience of managing grants or projects preferred.
Highly motivated with ability to work independently or in a team environment and drive results; a self-starter and able to work with changing priorities and time pressures.
Strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to relate to all levels of management and both finance and non-finance staff.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills; ability to present complex data in a simplified and meaningful way.
Experience with SAP, BEX preferred, but not required, excellent Excel skills a must.
