The total salary package is £39,384 - £42,972 per annum (circa $63,000 - $68,700 USD) including basic salary, hardship allowance and cost of living allowance.

About MAG: MAG saves lives and builds futures by working with others to reclaim land contaminated with the debris of conflict, to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians, and to create safe and secure conditions for development.  MAG shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as a founding member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines for our work to ban landmines.  Our vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict.

About the South Sudan Programme: MAG has been present in South Sudan since 2004, providing Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) support to save the lives of people affected by landmines and Explosive Remnants of War (ERW). With the outbreak of fighting in December 2013, MAG has continued to implement HMA activities in the Greater Equatorias.

We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate an ECHO funded project responding to high levels of ERW contamination in areas of conflict displaced populations (IDPS, local commmunities) in the Northern States.  MAG will deploy an Emergency Response Team to conflict affected areas such as Upper Nile, Unity and Jonglei States to clear Hazardous Areas contaminated with UXO and to conduct life-saving Mine Risk Education.

The role: The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination of the project, including dynamic and pro-active project delivery in collaboration with other actors.  Day to day management will include donor reporting,  cashbooks, deployment planning, staff management and liaison with local stakeholders.  This is a fantastic oppurtunity for an experienced Project Manager to grow their skills in a challenging and autonomous role.  The role will report to the MAG Country Director, and benefit from working with our country Finance, Logistics and HR Managers, so a great support network is in place.

About you: You`ll be a dynamic, motivated self-starter, able to hit the ground running.  You`ll have previous experience of project management across the full remit of the project delivery.  You`ll be able to deal with the challenges of working in South Sudan and have great problem solving experience and a track record of successfully delivering project outcomes on budget and on time.  You`ll also have experience of working in  a hardship environment, in remote and basic living conditions.  MAG takes the security of its staff very seriously indeed, and you`ll have experience of working in challenging security conditions.

For further information on the role, the application form and details of how to apply please visit, the MAG website at http://www.maginternational.org/vacancies-at-MAG by the closing date of 9 November 2014.
