To help developing countries fight poverty, we need to fix the international tax system. But the devil’s in the detail of tax rules, so we’re looking for a Research Officer who can rapidly absorb diverse types of technical information, including econometric data, and produce concise and lucid analysis of tax policy issues for internal and external audiences.
You will work with our team of policy advisors, undertaking research and policy analysis for our tax justice campaign. This will involve attending events and lobby meetings as well as preparing briefing documents. You will communicate our thinking through your writing and via the media, social networks and public speaking with a particular focus on digital media. You will also provide general support to colleagues as needed.
With a degree in international development or a related subject, you will have a good understanding of international development issues and economics. You will have carried out research on relevant issues in a public policy, NGO or academic environment and possess strong communication and presentation skills. You must have a good understanding of digital media and familiarity with quantitative and statistical analysis.
Please note, the role is to cover maternity leave and is offered as a 9 - 12 month fixed term contract.
