Location: Programme Funding Department, Oxfam GB, Oxford, and numerous locations on deployments.

As part of the Humanitarian Funding Team in Oxfam GB, Oxford, this role gives an opportunity to support and assist the planning, securing, and managing of programme funding for humanitarian response programmes in different countries around the world where Oxfam operates; cover funding coordinator gaps in programme teams, or carry out other projects when not deployed.  Deployments will mostly be to rapid onset and chronic emergency response programmes. Priority will be given to rapid onset emergencies but deployments may also be at later stages of a humanitarian programme. 

The position involves establishing and maintaining up-to-date funding strategies and plans; identifying new funding opportunities; establishing and maintaining funding grids and progress reports; proposal development; donor contract negotiation and management; formal training, technical guidance, coaching and accompaniment of colleagues in the planning, securing and management; and understanding and maintaining Oxfam GB’s donor income database and other internal systems. 

We are looking for a person with a solid track record of experience of planning for, securing and managing funds from institutional donors, such as DFID, ECHO, SIDA, OFDA and UN; extensive experience of writing quality proposals and reports; high level of numeracy, budgeting, financial reporting and IT skills; highly developed influencing skills; strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to work effectively with others in diverse team situations; ability to adapt to working in potentially insecure locations with limited connectivity; ability to manage time effectively, and adapt priorities to respond to changing demands and tight deadlines, across multiple time zones.
