Contract length: 2 years


The role
This position will be responsible for program coordination across the different departments and partners of the Zambia Orphans and Vulnerable Children System Strengthening project. This position is the coordination conduit to all partners in this consortium; coordinating collaborative events and having a prominent role in aligning the project’s coordination and regular meetings with partner groups. The incumbent will be required to lead the project communications component including quality documentation, adhering to Save the Children and USAID rules and regulations.


Qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Business administration, Public Administration or similar, MPH or MBA an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant coordination experience, preferably in multi partner projects
  • Relevant experience with USAID/PEPFAR funded programs
  • Previous experience in project management preferably in Zambia
  • Vast experience with Micro Soft office and other software packages
  • Immaculate eye for detail and proven documentation writing experience within international Non-Governmental Organizations and USAID required standards
  • Creative, goal oriented and deadline driven. Ability to multi-task whilst working as part of a team
  • Mature, well-organized, pro-active, logical thinker with strong work ethics
  • Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically
  • An in-depth understanding of national and international development issues in particular in relation to children
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
