We currently have an opportunity for a Donor Accountant to join us on a fixed term contract until the end of April 2015, and be based in our offices near Trafalgar Square in Central London.

You will form part of a new helpdesk team created to help support staff across 54 country offices with the year-end stock check and corresponding roll out of new Warehouse software. You’ll work as part of a team which will also consist of Logistics and IT specialists, to provide advice, guidance and support to our staff. As the Donor Accountant you will have daily contact with country and regional finance staff to answer questions and provide guidance on Inventory Accounting processes. You’ll also help source any relevant grant and valuation data for the stock check, help solve technical queries, edit records the Award Management System as required, update and maintain FAQ’s, recommend solutions to exceptions and escalate them to the project manager / technical lead as required.

To be successful in this role you will be a part qualified accountant, and bring experience in Donor Accounting for iNGO’s within international development, along with experience in Accounting/Award Management software. You’ll also have a good understanding of the major donors and their compliance requirements for procurement, asset and stock management along with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
