CARE is seeking a talented Health and Nutrition Manager who will be responsible for the overall management, implementation and monitoring of the integrated SRMH and nutrition program for the host community. S/he will oversee all project/program activities and be the main contact point for the donor and the field staff. S/he also ensures project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization. S/he is also responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project/program deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • People management and development
  • Quality program implementation
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
  • Representation, Liaison and Coordination
  • Managing financial and administrative resources
  • Proposal development
  • Supporting project administration

Primary Skills:

  • Health Professional (Medical doctor, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Public Health or its equivalent) and a minimum of four years work experience in provision of reproductive health and nutrition in emergencies
  • Bachelor's degree with substantive experience in the above fields
  • Strategic technical and intellectual skills in Project/Program management
  • Leadership, negotiation, facilitation, advocacy and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong managerial and coordination skills, with good relationship management skills including ability to coordinate working with diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a highly complex organizational context
  • Demonstrated ability to live and work in challenging environment
  • An understanding of inclusive community involvement in the delivery of services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse group of people.
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written English)
  • Excellent writing skills, especially in the preparation of official documents and reports
  • Good organizational and planning skills with attention to details
  • Experience in providing support to partners and in particular senior Government   Officials
  • Experience in working within tight budget
