The Role

 

As a chair & executive support officer, you will facilitate the work of the Chief Executive’s office by providing business support to the Chair of Trustees and Head of Governance.

 

What we are looking for

 

As the Chair and Executive Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting Oxfam GB’s Chair, Board of Trustees and Leadership Team to achieve the highest standards of governance, a clear strategic direction and robust plans to achieve our goals.  You will deal with a wide range of external and internal contacts, using good judgement and diplomacy.

 

You will have business support/administration experience working with senior stakeholders, great interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive approach to solving problems and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. The role offers plenty of variety from project managing the regular Board and Leadership Team meetings and organising Trustee recruitment and induction to arranging Trustee visits to some of the countries where Oxfam runs humanitarian and development programmes.

 

You will be expected to work with conflicting priorities and to tight deadlines and to handle all information in a sensitive and confidential manner.You’ll need a sharp attention to detail and the willingness to lend support when needed in this small dynamic, busy team that sits right at the very heart of Oxfam GB.

Location: Oxford, United Kingdom

 

Hours: 25 hours per week

 

Salary: Up to £27,000 gross per annum, pro rata, depending on experience
