We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join us as Head of UK Poverty Campaigns, leading the development and delivery of high impact and innovative campaigns to tackle UK child poverty for Save the Children.

As Head of UK Poverty Campaigns you will play a crucial role working across teams as we develop our public campaigns strategy and deliver high impact activity designed to deliver policy change in the future. You will oversee the effective delivery of creative, ambitious campaigns and tactics, both planned and reactive. In addition you will:

  • Provide leadership in the UK poverty department as a key member of the UK senior leadership team

  • Identify and manage new and innovative partnerships and develop and lead coalitions where appropriate

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, by attracting and retaining top talent and providing strategic direction

  • Oversee and develop strategies that maximize opportunities arising from all parts of the organization

  • Advise on budgets and manage risk.

To be successful you will have a proven track record of developing and delivering creative and effective campaign strategies that achieve a high level of change. You will have an excellent understanding of the campaigning environment in the UK with experience of leading cross-functional campaigns. In addition you will have:

  • A proven ability to think and plan strategically whilst leading a high performing team

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working with a wide-range of campaigning techniques and tactics, across diverse campaigning platforms

  • Proven project management experience and the ability to lead others in strategic delivery

  • The ability to take initiative, effectively prioritise a large and complex workload and manage varied expectations, working at times to short deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the presence and influence to inspire and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
