Role and Purpose
This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of the leadership team of a highly regarded international humanitarian organisation which brings emergency relief and recovery to people caught in crisis situations in countries such as Afghanistan, D.R. Congo, Nepal, the Philippines, South Sudan and the Syrian crisis.
The purpose of the role is: to lead and manage Medair’s global HR function with care and professionalism
to support the organisation in the implementation of world class humanitarian aid projects; to lead the development of Medair’s people, culture and organisational capacity, in order to empower front-line staff in the field and the supporting HQ based staff; to significantly contribute to the corporate leadership of Medair as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

Founded in 1989, Medair is still a young organisation with a reputation for attracting highly talented professionals. Your Profile
You will be a senior Human Resources professional with demonstrable experience and capability in HR management and organisational development, alongside experience leading change in complex environments, preferably within an international context. You will be an outstanding people manager, with the ability to lead and inspire the confidence of a talented team. As a member of the ELT, you will be committed to jointly lead the development and maintenance of Medair’s Christian faith. You will have a passion for the work of Medair and its mission to help people in crisis situations in the world’s most challenging countries, and share whole-heartedly in our core values.
Workplace
Based in Medair Headquarters, Ecublens, near Lausanne, Switzerland.
