Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children. We work in 120 countries. We save children’s lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfil their potential. We work together, with our partners, to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.

In Liberia we are refocusing activities on our Ebola emergency response, an unprecedented priority. We have just finished building a 70-bed Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) in Bong County (which is now run by International Medical Corps) and are planning on establishing at least 10 Ebola Care Units for the treatment of Ebola patients close to their homes, which we are going to run.

As a result we are now looking for suitable candidates across a number of roles:

  • Clinical Trainer
  • Health Management Information Specialist
  • Nurse Supervisor
  • Physician
  • Pharmacist
  • Medical Doctor (GP)
  • Infection Control Specialist

We are interested in hearing from you if you have significant experience of working in any of these areas and are prepared to be deployed in Liberia.

You’ll be in country between 4-8 weeks at any given time, but your contract may be up to 6 months. You will be offered a competitive salary package including medical insurance, accommodation and other benefits.

We are looking for candidates, who can be deployed immediately in the first instance, but this is also a longer term response and as such we are also interested in hearing from you if you will be available to deploy over the coming months. Please do indicate your availability on your cover letter, and don’t forget to also submit your CV; both should be submitted as one document.

Prior to deployment to the field, a period of paid training will be provided which includes relevant organisation inductions, security training and external training on Ebola risk management.

Please note: due to the critical nature of this recruitment, applications will be reviewed as they are received and successful candidates contacted on an on-going basis.

We need to keep children safe so our selection process reflects our commitment to the protection of children from abuse.
