Recognizing the extremely high levels of need in Syria and the INGOs’ collective responsibility to address them , six major INGOs already responding to the Syria crisis – CARE, DRC, IRC, Handicap International, Mercy Corps, and NRC – have come together to form a Consortium to try collectively to improve both the quantity and quality of the response to address these needs.  The six INGOs are establishing a Consortium dedicated to secure funding for a joint, Whole of Syria Approach, coming together with a strong commitment to sharing information about needs and operational conditions in the areas of operation, and technical expertise as global leaders in developing best practice, tools, and resources.  The Consortium aims to establish a long-term, collaborative effort to utilise livelihoods programming for a holistic, multi-faceted, multi-donor response programme.

The Chief of Party will be responsible for managing and facilitating the work of the Consortium at the national level (through coordination activities the regional level), and ensuring an integrated approach in project implementation among Consortium partners in the achievement of project objectives.  For a full job description please see the link at the bottom of this page.
