At an exciting time of growth and opportunity for the organization, we seek a new Deputy Regional Director. In this role, you would have an intimate knowledge of developing, delivering and assuring quality in MI’s portfolio of programs in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Pakistan. You would also have oversight of fortification in the Asian region and supporting External Relations work in the region, through smart programming and strategic positioning and partnerships. We are looking for someone who shares our organizational culture of delivering high-impact and cost-effective programs to the world’s most vulnerable. Having a leadership position within a dedicated and dynamic team spread across six Asian countries, the new Deputy Regional Director will oversee the development of national programs and projects. Strong management skills will help the team with the development and management of country plans and budgets. We seek someone who will lead by example to foster an entrepreneurial culture of ingenuity and innovation so that we bring together the best of our efforts for lasting results. Qualifications could include:

A postgraduate level degree, doctorate preferred, in any of the following: nutrition, health or public health, management or health economics;

A solid understanding of human nutrition and the role of micronutrients is essential as well as expertise and experience in micronutrient fortification of foods and condiments;

A minimum of 10 years at a senior level in programming in Public Health or Nutrition and at least 5 years experience supervising senior staff and working in Asia;

Financial and personnel management.
