  • Media development- for the past 30 years we have been training journalists and media professional, improving the standards of journalism around the world. We also build platforms for independent journalism like Aswat Masriya, an independent and unbiased political news website launched in Egypt in 2011. 

Our CEO, Monique Villa, is now looking for an Executive Assistant to run her office.
The successful candidate’s main task will be to manage Monique’s extremely busy calendar, including her extensive international travel. In addition he/she will also provide some administrative support for the CEO’s leadership team as well as general ad hoc support for the rest of the Foundation’s staff globally.

Specifically, her/his tasks would include:  

  • Full management of the CEO’s diary to ensure smooth running of her l schedule ( UK and International ) .
  • Making all  travel and meeting arrangements including all Visa applications.
  • Organising or supporting the organisation of all internal and external events and meetings relating to the CEO, as well as conferences and events across the Foundation.
  • Preparing all support information and presentation materials for the CEO’s meetings, including for those of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation.
  • Supporting the CEO in the preparation of complex and confidential documents and presentations.
  • Management of the CEO’s  vast roster of contacts as well as organisation of her correspondence .
  • Managing all invoicing and expenses relevant to and as requested by the CEO
  • Supporting the leadership team with various ad hoc administrative tasks
  • Maintaining the Foundation’s distribution lists

 The ideal candidate

  • We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communications skills and who feels comfortable working across all levels and industries.
  • You will have had at least five years of experience as an Executive Assistant to a Director or CEO,  you may have a background in administration or be interested in working with the senior team of a leading voice in corporate philanthropy
  • Excellent organisational skills, detail-oriented, excellent at problem solving, a strong team player, an exceptional multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise workload, especially when under time pressure, with proven project management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as Salesforce and is comfortable learning other computer or technical skills, as required.
  • You will  have a personal or professional interest in the  social, humanitarian and environmental issues that the Foundation cares about and covers.
  • You must be able to demonstrate strong use of initiative, be proactive, have a sense of urgency and drive and work well with minimal supervision
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity, trustworthiness and the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages desirable.
