Contract length: 6 Months

LOCATION: Bangui with deployments to Field offices


The role

The Reset HR Manager will be part the Reset Team. S/he is expected to develop and roll-out robust systems, policy and practice on people management. The post-holder is expected to mentor and/or capacity building existing country programme staff. Principally, s/he deals with HR Backlog, roll-out of SCI procedures and coaching of staff on HR issues


Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Experience of managing a country benefits review including market rate analysis and benchmarking
  • Experience if job evaluation and pay-band development
  • Previous experience with SCI
  • A human resource management/development qualification from a credible institution.
  • Prior NGO experience at management level within a complex country programme in emergency response/humanitarian environments
  • Experience of working in remote field bases with limited infrastructure
  • Proven operational HR track-record – experience of providing a senior generalist HR service to managers across a full range of HR issues
  • Excellent skills in handling and advising on complex people management issues
  • Experience of and well developed skills in recruitment and selection
  • Good attention to detail
  • Understanding staff care for humanitarian staff, in particular approaches to welfare, stress, R&R and debriefing
  • Good facilitation skills and ability to deliver induction briefing/training
  • Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English, with experience in managing multicultural teams
  • Fluent in written and oral French and English
  • Proven coaching skills, supporting of different technical abilities

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Central Africa Republic Humanitarian and Development context
  • Experience in change management processes in NGOs
