The Corporate Recruitment Team within Oxfam aim to support recruiting managers and candidates with a variety of recruitment and selection activities and will be the first point of contact for queries and advice on recruitment.

Oxfam therefore seeks to recruit a Recruitment Executive to provide advice and support to managers and candidates.

The Role

Reporting to the Recruitment Adviser and Team Leader, the Recruitment Executive will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide advice and support to managers on a variety of recruitment and selection activities. This includes drafting advertisements for job vacancies, using the e-recruitment system eArcu as well as screening applications.
  • Ensure that data is entered promptly and accurately into the e-recruitment system for all recruitments
  • Support Oxfam’s critical referencing project as part of Oxfam’s 10-oint action plan
  • Process applications for UK visas
  • Ensure compliance with Home Office right to work regulations.
  • Process checks for DBS eligibility and DBS checks
  • Answering recruitment queries promptly and effectively

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a charismatic and professional individual with the following:

  • Experience of supporting the recruitment process including the use of LinkedIn and job boards for advertising and e-recruitment system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of advising internal stakeholders on recruitment best practice
  • Ability to work well in a team and work under pressure
  • Exceptional organising and co-ordinating skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience of drafting and/or reviewing job profiles and advertisements (desirable)
  • Experience and/or an understanding of right to work and DBS requirements (desirable)
