Hi, we’re 10:10 – a 120,000-strong community doing bold, beautiful things to tackle climate change, supported by a small team in Camden town.

You’re a brilliant Trusts and Foundations fundraiser who wants to use your powers to make the world a better place. We should talk!

We’re looking for that special someone to help us marry the right funders with our three year strategy. It’s an exciting time, with great projects on the go at 10:10, and you’ll be responsible for working with Trusts and Foundations so we have the funds to make good things happen!

Getting right under the skin of our projects, working with our fundraising plan and finding ways to generate funding will get you out of bed in the morning. You’re a talented multi-tasker who understands people, relationships, processes and coordination. You’ll have a good knowledge of the Trust and Foundations landscape, and will enjoy spotting new opportunities and working with fund managers to showcase our projects and ensure we’re approaching the right funders.

As part of a small, friendly team, you’ll attend key meetings, pitch programmes to funders, and be a visible advocate of our work at all levels. The whole team knows that fundraising makes everything else possible, and we’re all involved, so you’ll have plenty of input and collaboration. 10:10 believes in developing our team, providing training and mentoring where appropriate, plus cake in almost all circumstances.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising

  1. Implementing the fundraising plan through cultivation of Trusts and Foundations and by managing the drafting and application process.
  2. Working with the team at 10:10 to lead on bringing together groups of key people to develop applications for Trusts and Foundations.
  3. Working with colleagues to ensure existing funders are kept up-to-date with reports, annual meetings, regular communication and records.
  4. Researching new funding opportunities and developing the Trusts and Foundations fundraising plan.
  5. Working with the Head of Projects, the Executive Director and other staff to develop fundraising opportunities and plans for new and existing projects.
  6. Ensuring that Salesforce and other relevant records are kept up-to-date and well documented.
  7. Being the main point of contact for all new Trust and Foundation funders.
  8. Ensuring attendance and participation in fundraising meetings and activities across the 10:10 staff team.

Governance and Board

  1. Working closely with our Head of Projects, Director of Finance and Operations and Executive Director to ensure fundraising applications, events and reports are receiving organisation-wide buy-in and support.
  2. Reporting to the board and Finance and Fundraising subcommittee on Trust and Foundation progress against the fundraising plan.
  3. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, Head of Projects and other fundraising team members to assess changes to fundraising need and priorities.
  4. Supporting the Executive Director and signposting appropriate event/PR opportunities where relevant.

Skills and requirements

Must haves

  • Demonstrable fundraising experience.
  • Fantastic writing skills.
  • Confidence communicating and cultivating relationships with funders.
  • Meticulous record keeping with great attention to detail.
  • A strong grip of numbers and a clear understanding of Excel.
  • A high level of IT literacy, including document layout.

Definitely won’t hurt

  • You don’t need to be an expert on climate change, but you should have a genuine passion for 10:10’s work.
  • Existing relationships with funders in the environment sector.
  • A working knowledge of Salesforce.
