Salary: £25,596 - £34,617 net per annum, (net salary means that Oxfam GB will meet the tax and social security liabilities of post-holder in addition to net salary)

About the Job: As managers of, and advisers to, our humanitarian programmes at national level, Gender Specialists provide coordination and strategic leadership for gender justice change objectives, ensuring the quality of programme delivery, influencing and coordinating with other organisations, disseminating good practice, setting and communicating overall response direction in gender justice.

When not on emergency deployment, your duties may include project managing specific gender equality project tasks, research, providing remote support to country based colleagues, and assisting fund raising activities among other things.

About You:  We are looking for people with at least 5 years experience in the implementation and management of a gender equality programmes, both in humanitarian response as well as in long term development programs. With a practical experience in gender analysis and the translation into strategic planning, programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation appropriate to the context and the affected community. Have experience in facilitating training and coaching in a way that motivates others. You will also need people management experience, experience of writing Gender Strategy, and influencing and negotiating skills with internal and external audiences in complex and stressful circumstances. You must have excellent written and spoken English, French and Spanish and other languages are highly desirable, in particular Portuguese or Arabic.
