MAG is recruiting a Global Security Manager to join our HQ team.

Reporting to the Director of Programmes, you will be MAG’s organisational lead on security management. You will work with MAG’s Management Team, Board, Regional and Country Directors to support organisational strategic thinking and decision making on all security and risk issues. Providing quality security information, training, policy and standards guidance, and consistent support that enables the management of travel, deployment and programme delivery in accordance with MAG’s duty of care obligations and in line with our Global Security Policy.. Working with MAG’s Regional Security Managers, who are based in Africa and the Middle East, you will monitor and support global security compliance And developing a security management culture.   This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to take a leading role in security management for a global organisation, working in some of the most challenging environments in the world.

You will have previous experience in a lead security role within an international NGO or similar sector.

You will be able to develop and implement security management systems in addition to conducting risk/threat assessment and formulating mitigation measures. You will use your experience to support colleagues and facilitate their engagement and compliance with policies and procedures, assist the learning of others and support training initiatives.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence to secure buy-in to achieve change. Success in this role will depend on excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely to a range of internal and external stakeholders 

A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work is required, with the tenacity to see projects through to implementation.
