About the role

Reporting into the Director of New Programme Development, the new role of Head of Strategic Funding is responsible for securing funding from new innovative non-traditional sources. Historically the development sector has received funding from institutional donors; our social business model has created a unique position for us to diversify into new partnerships.

Working with Director of New Programme Development you will strategically map, identify and cultivate these partnerships.

You will be responsible for developing new business relationships with corporate investors, social impact bonds, national governments, and public and private insurance schemes. The role will also join a cross-functional team to introduce customer relationship management (CRM) across the MSI global partnership. The role will pioneer new global and core funding opportunities, as well as the development of regional and corporate investment strategies.

This role sits in the New Programme Development team, who drive global partnerships through external funding sources. They are responsible for diversifying our external funding base and increasing the overall financial sustainability of our country programmes. Crucially they play a pivotal role in deepening our capacity in programmatic strategy and technical design.

About you

We see you coming from a background of securing income / contracts in private or public funding sources or having worked at a senior operations level (ideally in health), facilitating technical and strategic design processes. Experience in designing and managing change management processes would be beneficial as would exposure to corporate social responsibility.
