Contract length: 6 Months

The role

The WASH Manager, is overall responsible for all WASH activities for an effective Ebola recovery at community, school and health facilities level in coordination with Health, Community Mobilization, Child Protection, Education and Livelihoods sectors in Margibi county of Liberia.


Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Progressive management experience of working in an emergency and long term WASH program
  • Education on Public Health/engineering or a related subject
  • Experience of and commitment to community participation and accountability program
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation
  • Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of English
  • Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • The capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in challenging and dynamic working circumstances.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Save the Children systems and ways of working

Experience of managing USAID/OFDA, Unicef, DEC, ECHO, EU grants
