Job profile

The Programme Manager will lead, plan, monitor and manage CAFOD’s DRR programme in Sudan in 2 key spheres. Firstly in capacity Building work for 6 consortium member agencies on FS & Livelihood Resilience in line with the agreed DfID Resilience funded programme for Sudan (SHARP). Secondly in quality development of a Food Security and Livelihood Programme for CAFOD in Sudan with strong DRR elements.

Job role

You will be responsible for leading and managing CAFOD’s commitments to the SHARP programme in Sudan.  You will lead and manage CAFOD’s development of resilient sensitive Livelihood Programmes and Projects in Sudan. This will include financial and funding management, team management and representation. 

Your profile

You should have proven experience in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), food security and livelihoods programme design.   You should have proven experience of programming, especially project cycle management, logical framework analysis and participatory development methods.  You should have an excellent understanding of DRR approaches and importance of DRR for humanitarian and development strategies. In particular climate change adaptation.  The successful candidate will be fluent in written and spoken English.
