CaLP is the global partnership for cash transfer programming in humanitarian aid. We are a catalyst for accelerating change in the scale and quality of cash transfer programming as well as enabling the collaboration necessary to develop practical solutions to collective problems in the sector. CaLP is at the forefront of promoting and improving cash transfer programming across the humanitarian sector by enabling collaboration between organisations, while also supporting them to make their own progress.

In this multi-faceted and challenging role, you will be responsible for the operational planning and delivery of CaLP’s activities in the Middle East region. These include training activities, research and knowledge management, support to coordination, and policy engagement. You will also support development of CaLP’s operational presence in Amman, Jordan, within one or more host organisations, and will manage CaLP’s activities funded in the region. Furthermore, you will also be expected to build strategic relationships with a wide range of actors, including: UN agencies, government, think tanks, academic institutions and NGOs, and to represent CaLP in regional fora.

As a result, you will work closely with the whole of the CaLP team, both in country and remotely to develop and deliver programme activities across the region, through ensuring implementation and coherence of strategies and plans’ implementation.

This is a truly unique role where no two days are the same and you will be able to make a true difference to the work of CaLP and the MENA region.

What we are looking for

You will have senior management experience, including responsibility for staff, planning, delivery, budgets and representation in the aid context, preferably in the MENA region. You will also have a strong understanding of cash transfer programming in the region as well as an understanding of the international humanitarian system at regional and global levels.

We are also looking for an individual who has experience across CaLP’s core activities, is a strong decision maker, has a highly proactive and practical approach to problem solving and has excellent verbal and written Arabic and English language skills.

If you have a passion for the work of CaLP and cash transfer programming in humanitarian aid as well as the future of the MENA region and ensuring the wellbeing of its citizens, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

We Offer

This role will give you an opportunity to work with a group of passionate people that are specialists in their CaLP field as well as the MENA region. This role attracts training and development with a fair pay offer and a highly competitive benefits package.
