Location: Sana’a, Yemen
Islamic Relief Worldwide is currently recruiting for the position of a WASH Coordinator based in Sana’a, Yemen. The post holder will provide technical leadership and quality control in the management, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Concern’s water, sanitation and hygiene promotion projects in different governorates of Yemen. To design WASH infrastructure that is appropriate for each stage of the emergency and recovery ensuring the continued effectiveness of the WASH programme as the situation evolves. To ensure the management and timely implementation of quality WASH projects that achieve their objectives, are readily accountable to stakeholders as well as providing effective management that ensures accountable use of project resources (finance, human resources and logistic).
The WASH Coordinator will effectively manage the WASH projects using appropriate tools to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and to the expected quality. S/he will develop productive working relationships with Government, Non-Governmental institutions and other project partners. The post holder will compile the weekly and monthly statistics and activity report and submit to HOP. It is essential that the candidate has a minimum of Bachelor Degree in sociology or relevant field with at least 3-5 years of practical work experience in humanitarian operation and preferably Masters Degree with 2-3 year experience. The successful candidate will have experience in the WASH sector. It is mandatory you have English, Arabic or the local language skills to be able to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of this role.
