Contract length: 12 Months
The role
The Regional Humanitarian Awards Coordinator (HAC) will support the Regional Awards Manager in leading the management and support of humanitarian grants across the WCA region. He/she will play a key role in reinforcing the quality of awards management systems, processes and tools. He/she will support the monitoring and analysis of the grants from start to close with a strong focus on donor compliance, awards monitoring and analysis and capacity building.
Qualifications and experience
- University degree in in Finance / Project Management and at/or at least 2 years working in INGOs
- Experience managing grants, contracts & sub agreements with knowledge of major fundersâ guidelines (e.g. USAID, ECHO, DFID, CIDA, SIDA etc.) and also working in humanitarian responses
- Ability to perform grants portfolio analysis and support all routine technical aspects of grant management processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate clearly with thoughtful, accurate information
- Experience in capacity building; coaching and delivering training at an individual and group level
- Computer literate including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel
- Proven ability to handle/priorities challenging and multi-tasked workload in complex working environment
- Willingness to travel to Country Offices for support and capacity building purposes
- Experience working in a regional &/or country offices with preference for experience in WCA
French and English speaking
