Role overview
This placement will support VSO Ghana in identifying appropriate, scalable, and cost-effective agriculture based livelihoods interventions around cocoa, cashew, shea or soya bean ensuring farmer and community ownership leading to;
1. Formulation of proposals for donor funding with VSO playing a lead role in the process.
2. Establishment of meaningful partnerships with community based organisations, social marketing companies, private sector agribusiness companies and the government.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
You have a degree in international development, agriculture value chains etc.
You are able to communicate effectively well in English
You have at least 5 years’ experience in agriculture value chain/agriculture based livelihoods focused work.
You are able to maintain an active directory and have knowledge in project management
- Experience coaching and training others in designing and executing agriculture value chains and agriculture based livelihoods initiatives.
- Report writing and proposal formulation skills
- Proven experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals and organisations at all levels
You have experience working with and leading teams
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in achieving results.
You are Innovative and adaptive with influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills
