 CARE is seeking a Chief of Party that will provide overall leadership and management of the project in the design, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and marketing. In particular to make every effort to ensure that the Project’s objectives/outputs are achieved according to the work plan and within the contracted project period. 

Primary Responsibilities:
•Financial/Asset Management
•Contract Management
•Personnel Management
•Government Liaison/External Relations
•Policy Development

Primary Skills:
•A minimum of 5 years experience Project Management and implementation within an INGO or related environment, an expectation of at least 2 years applied in-country
•Experience in designing, managing and implementing emergency programs;
•Demonstrated skills in leadership and management in a complex international setting.
•Solid experience in staff supervision and development.
•Have a good track of implementation of similar projects
•Working experience in Freetown
•Ability to develop and foster external organizational relationships and applied representation skills.
•Readiness to work with people of all backgrounds without bias.
•Ability to coach and mentor staff in a cross cultural environment.
•Advanced written and spoken English Language skills.
•Demonstrated financial management experience
•Respect, Integrity, Diversity, Excellence Communicating with impact, Initiating Action, Coaching, Operational decision making, team building, building commitment, negotiation, strategic decision making, adaptability, facilitating change.
