Since 2005, Save the Children, the International Rescue Committee and UNICEF have been promoting the use of a standard inter-agency child protection information management system (IA CPIMS) for the child protection sector that supports effective case management. This system is now succeeded by a new system called the CPIMS+, which is the case management module of an open source platform for protection-related information management called Primero.

You will also provide essential input into the development of Primero and CPIMS+, including scheduled reviews of software releases and User Acceptance Testing, script reviews and testing materials, plus ensure strong technical support and off-site troubleshooting to users of the CPIMS+ and work in close collaboration with the helpdesk to provide and ensure provision of quality services.

Reporting to, and closely collaborating with, the Inter-Agency CPIMS Coordinator, you will also:

  • Support the development of new tools and documents, as well as the continuous revision and updating of existing tools
  • Gather information about countries that are using the CPIMS and the CPIMS+, and follow-up on a monthly basis on implementation of the CPIMS+ in each new country
  • Manage proposal and concept note development and submission
  • Report to donors, providing advocacy and representation, as well as identifying potential new donors.

To secure this outstanding opportunity:

You must have significant experience in child protection in emergencies programme management, with an impressive technical understanding of information management systems for case management, where familiarity with the inter-agency child protection information management system (IA CPIMS) would be an asset. Educated to a minimum of Master’s Degree or equivalent and fluent in English and French, you will have a strong background in training and capacity building and boast excellent communication, inter-personal and leadership skills. Plus:

  • A flair for identifying new opportunities and taking initiative
