Islamic Relief Worldwide is looking to recruit a Performance & Accountability Adviser. The Performance & Accountability Advisor who will be based in Birmingham, UK, will lead on the implementation and review of the Islamic Relief Global strategy. The post holder will lead Islamic Relief’s quality improvement and performance management processes. S/he will absorb learning from IR and wider NGO community learning that may inform our practice and ensure improvements and dissemination of good practice. The post holder will ensure that strategic business units and national partner organisations and field offices are supported in the facilitation and development of strategic plans of quality and coherence with IR’s global strategy.
The Performance & Accountability Adviser will ensure Directors and Trustees have regular high quality management information that enables them to ensure the organisation achieves improved impact, efficiency and cost effectiveness through the more focussed use of human resources to achieve strategic objectives. S/he will represent the global network on quality development forums within international and national networks such as BOND, DFID, VOICE and CONCORD.
The successful candidate should have experience of operating or managing quality improvement systems and developing strategy in a participatory and consultative fashion. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage large meetings and communicate complex concepts clearly. The successful candidate will have good oral and written presentation skills in English, IT and excellent analytical skills.
