Responsibilities
We are now seeking an exceptional individual to help us drive our global fundraising strategy, with a special focus on raising funds and support in the Americas. Your key responsibility would be to support the implementation of the Foundation’s strategy to generate revenue across multiple streams: event and conference sponsorships, corporate, and major gifts. We will also look to the candidate to help us build a robust pipeline of prospects.
This will include:
- Supporting the implementation of our sponsorship strategy
- Handling the day to day management of relationships with our existing partners in major corporations, top law firms and Foundations
- Supporting the development and expansion of our network of partners and identifying new opportunities
The ideal candidate
We are looking for someone ambitious, action-oriented, dynamic, forward planning and creative.
- You will work as part of a fast-paced international team with a very global outlook. You must feel comfortable working across different levels of seniority, with colleagues based across several countries and from different backgrounds.
- You will have 5+ years in development and have some experience with individual giving, including closing gifts with donors
- You will have some experience in building sponsorship and/or partnerships opportunities with the corporate sector and major Foundations. Above all, we need a quick learner, interested in the philanthropic world, who would like to have an opportunity to grow with a team that is always expanding and developing
- You will have some experience overseeing the organization of cultivation events
- You are a good communicator, with excellent written and spoken English. Speaking at least one additional language would be preferred
- You are educated to degree level and have excellent IT skills, particularly in relation to outlook, word and excel
- You will be willing to participate in occasional overnight travel (20%)
- You will have excellent organizational skills and can manage a busy and demanding workload as well as meeting deadlines
Reporting to the Fundraising Director in the UK and working with other team members, this is a full-time, paid position based in New York.
