Salary : Starting at £44,982 per annum Location: Birmingham, with International Travel
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Regionalisation based in Birmingham, UK. The post holder is a senior-level role that will lead the oversight and implementation of the global IRW regionalisation strategy. This will include the development of, and transition of international functions to, regional offices in identified strategic locations around the world. The candidates will also take the lead on overseeing the development, review and enhancement of business processes for all working activities across IRW globally.
The Head of Regionalisation will provide organisational leadership, inspiration and guidance to ensure that the vision, mission and year-to-year objectives of IRW are achieved. They will facilitate professional and systematic communication and cooperation between the different parts of the IR family to ensure maximum impact of the organisation’s work. The job holder will provide leadership in a coordinated manner to the decentralisation of IRW functions in strategic locations, working closely with the CEO, Directors and Head of Departments to orientate planning of regionalisation.
The successful candidate will have high-level experience of leadership in a global organisation or in an international NGO, as well as experience of successfully leading and managing organisational change, and demonstrable successful engagement with process re-engineering and enhancement in a global organisation. We are looking for applicants ideally educated to a post-graduate academic or professional qualification; a relevant discipline related to Business Management is desirable. The successful candidate will have excellent written and spoken communication skills, being IT literate with an excellent command of MS Office applications. They will have a good understanding of development and humanitarian work and also a strong understanding of how to build, guide and influence teams. Working knowledge of Arabic will be a significant advantage. Knowledge of an European language particularly French or German will also be positively considered also or an Indian subcontinent national languages particularly Urdu.
