We also build platforms for independent journalism like Aswat Masriya, an independent and unbiased political news website launched in Egypt in 2011.
We are now seeking a very ambitious individual to help us drive all marketing activity and tickets sales related to the Trust Women conference, the Foundation’s flagship event.
Reporting directly to the Director of Communications, the Marketing and Events Manager is directly responsible for all pricing and sales strategies related to Trust Women, and is in charge of maintaining and expanding the event’s global marketing database.

Core Responsibilities
- Creates and runs strategies to drive tickets sales for the Trust Women Conference ensuring all sales targets are met accordingly.
- Structures marketing messaging, and develops and implement promotions, incentives and communications for new and existing audiences.
- Identifies key ticket sales revenue opportunities, expanding the existing sales and marketing database globally.
- Works closely with the Sponsorship and other Thomson Reuters Foundation teams to coordinate sale efforts and ensure strategy is executed seamlessly.
- Manages all telesales activities, using Salesforce to keep track of results and targets.
- Identify sales trends and implements actions based on findings.
- Manages constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Identifies international media partners for Trust Women and makes recommendations based on analysis.
- Manages and regularly updates the Trust Women Conference website/newsletter.
- Acts as the communications point person for all Trust Women Conference logistics and the organisation of the Trust Women Awards.

Qualifications

Essential skills
- Significant marketing experience related to conferences or events environment.
- Good track record of revenue generating campaigns related to conference or events.
- Exceptional project management skills gained specifically at large scale and complex events.
- Knowledge of corporate clients and CSR stakeholders in the women’s rights arena.
- Knowledge of social media tools related to the promotion of events of a large scale.
- Strong PC-based computer skills, knowledge of Salesforce and MailingManager.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, other languages a plus.The ideal Candidate
