Contract length: 3 months


The role
The Roving Project Coordinator will provide support to the individual project teams within the Health Pool Fund (HPF) portfolio providing an overview and ensuring that strategic, operational and compliance aspects of the grant are met effectively and efficiently.

The role will also become a liaison point with the donor ensuring that there is a positive relationship and that Save the Children is meeting its reporting and compliance commitments in a timely and effective manner. In addition, this role will play a part in ensuring that learning and best practice is effectively shared across the HPF portfolio.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Prior experience at management level within fragile or conflict affected states, managing large institutional donor funded programmes in excess of £1m.
  • Prior experience of delivering health programming.
  • Demonstrated experience of developing and managing relationships with program teams across the award management cycle and at various levels of seniority.
  • Management of multi partner or agency consortia.
  • Demonstrated experience of working with national and/or regional level government structures to strengthen the capacity of the state.
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills, with substantial experience in managing multicultural teams.
  • Experience of building, leading and developing a team of staff with different backgrounds and expertise
  • Experience of building personal networks at all levels
  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, action planning and ensuring buy-in/ ownership of decision making.
  • Commitment to the Save the Children values
  • Experience of working in an emergency setting
  • Experience working in South Sudan

Desirable:

  • Technical expertise in health systems strengthening
