Events & Community Account Manager

You understand supporter development and know how to manage successful fundraising campaigns. That’s exactly what this position as Events & Community Account Manager with ActionAid UK offers.

 

ActionAid is a leading international charity. We support women and children in extreme poverty. We fight for their rights and for lasting change. We want you to take responsibility for the account management and development of mid to high value community and event supporters. These maybe individuals, community organisations and companies.

 

You will maximise income and growth of our supporter base by developing long term stakeholder relationships and annual plans for account managed supporters. This will involve providing excellent customer care, controlling budgets, maintaining records, producing high quality project information, donor proposals and reports supporting specific projects as well as cross selling core community and event propositions to managed donors. You will also pitch for, and account manage, Charity of the Year partnerships as well as raise our profile within community based organisations. A key priority will be to work closely with colleagues to develop clear and creative communication plans and supporter journeys that maximise opportunities to add value to our supporter base.

 

A strong account manager you know how to prepare interactive and engaging presentations and win pitches. You relish achieving targets and are an expert at building, developing and managing relationships with supporters and suppliers as well as being experienced at designing and implementing engaging communication plans. You are used to writing creative briefs, analytical reports and evaluations as well as being effective at managing budgets. You will be flexible in your approach to work and confident in managing a diverse supporter base. You will be happy to challenge the status quo, you understand best practice and are an effective project manager. You must also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
