The Position

This role will be based within the Media Development team and the successful candidate will provide a range of administrative support to Project Managers on global media development projects, which range from supporting women’s rights reporting in Burma to producing investigative journalism in East Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing payments and invoices, including managing petty cash for projects
  • Record keeping and management of documentation (receipts, invoices etc) for projects
  • Collection of project impact metrics and basic analysis
  • Assist with donor reporting, including preparing draft financial reports
  • Assistance with other duties as required

 

Competencies sought

  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to juggle tasks, prioritise, and meet deadlines
  • Competent in Excel and comfortable with numbers and statistics
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Some experience of finance/administrative office work is a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Interest in international development work and journalism.
