The role:             This position will be key to coordinate different activities of the consortium under the Expected Results 1, 2 and 4 of the programme. The Expected Results are:

Expected Result 1: Conflict affected and displaced women and men are well informed and actively participating in the peace process

Expected Result 2: Trust in the peace process is effectively improved

Expected Result 4: Capacity of women, CSOs and CBOs, local authorities and EAGs on participatory, inclusive peace and development processes are enhanced

Employment term:    Fixed – Term (1 year with the possibility of extension)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Coordinate the activities of consortium members under the three results in the areas of peace building and civic education, trauma counseling and capacity building of government and CSOs.
  • Liaise with consortium members and the Third parties and organize regular meetings in order to align and harmonize activities on the ground
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities, including field visits, according to the project work plan
  • Provide technical support to members in the implementation of the activities and facilitate and/or arrange for external technical support if required
  • Support the reporting function of the programme team and ensure that donor requirements are met, in line with donor agreements and Oxfam policies and procedures
  • Plan and facilitate meetings, workshops, field travel and external visits
  • Ensure that narrative and financial reporting and other donor requirements (such as audits) are met in line with donor agreements and Oxfam policies and procedures
  • Maintain good relationships with relevant project stakeholders
  • Collect, verify and present information to meet the donor and Oxfam reporting requirements.
  • Provide timely information to the Programme management Unit for any changes foreseen or irregularities
  • Provide support, technical advice and oversight to partners` activity planning and implementation

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE: 

Essential

  • Higher education, pref. Master degree in relevant studies;
  • Working experience of min. 5 years
  • Well-developed analytical and planning skills.
  • Good knowledge of Kachin context including CSOs
  • A good team-builder
  • A good networker
  • Wide experience of program types and including both theoretical knowledge and practical implementation
  • Proven leadership qualities and ability to work independently as required.
  • Proven decision making capability
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and implement opportunities for innovation.
  • Can effectively influence outside own team and successfully represent specific program or specific issues.
  • Providing specialist advice within and also outside the organisation.
  • Contributing to strategic development at a wider level within the program.
  • Good English Language skill in written and spoken.
