Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

Oxfam GB is an internationally respected humanitarian agency with a truly global reach, operating in over 28 countries.

From supporting our ground relief in disaster areas, to ensuring clean water and sanitation for the refugees fleeing war-torn Syria, everything we do is underpinned by our information systems (IS).   Our IS team manage a wide range of suppliers to ensure effective system delivery, to support our humanitarian programme, provide our supporters with the latest information and ensure the availability of our on line presence.

The Role

Oxfam GB has a ‘cloud first’ approach and we currently have an opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join our team.  The management of our suppliers providing web and digital services together with the Oxfam business units that rely on them, will be your main focus, and you will ensure that all parties’ expectations are realistic, service levels are met and that the services remain relevant to the Oxfam business user.

Your strong interpersonal skills and business awareness will enable you to talk both the language of the customer and the supplier, to find a solution that meets the business need and is commercially and ethically sound.  Your experience means you know what’s possible when liaising with suppliers, and you’re wise enough to, know when to seek advice and draw on the skills of the wider team.

Working to deadlines and stretched resources should be no obstacle to an experienced professional like you.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a proactive experienced professional to ‘own’ and develop the day to day relationship with both the Oxfam customer and the supplier base to ensure that services are delivered to agreed standards and continue to be fit for purpose.  You will be a ‘people’ person knowing how to meet and manage the expectations of stakeholders (both internal and external).

You will understand technology and what makes a good commercial deal combined with the ability to manage suppliers, identifying and overcoming obstacles with tact and diplomacy.

In return you will have significant influence in how IS services are delivered as an integral part of a dedicated and supportive team and the scope to influence the continuing development of the Oxfam service management model to meet the challenges of the future.

If you have the drive, skills and experience to help us achieve our goal of ending global poverty, we want to hear from you.

We offer

Working with Oxfam is more than just a job and you’ll be rewarded everyday in the knowledge that you’re part of an organisation that is lifting lives worldwide. This role will give you an opportunity to work with a group of passionate people with fair pay and competitive benefits package.
