We are currently seeking to recruit an exciting position with Habitat for Humanity International Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) area office:


Fundraising Manager, National Organisation Support

 

Habitat EMEA is moving into an exciting time of expansion, looking to dramatically increase its fundraising activities and scale up the funds raised across EMEA. NO Support Manager is responsible for liaising with and supporting fundraising National Organizations (NOs), initially the 5 Global Funding Network (GFN) countries, later also other NOs that raise funds in the EMEA region. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to make a difference, looking to be part of an exciting time of expansion within Habitat and working in a multi-cultural, multi-national, friendly, open team.
Areas of responsibility include resource development (RD)  and marketing support, capacity-building, governance and strategic direction to NOs. The incumbent’s duties include:

GENERAL STRATEGIC SUPPORT AND RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT


• In collaboration with the RD Director develop and implement successful governance models as well as RD & marketing strategies for EMEA NOs; • Implement controlling, reporting, and compliance mechanisms; • Create an internal communications plan and a platform for knowledge sharing, successes and failures, standards, synergies in RD; • Help develop and implement a RD strategy at the NOs; • Implement RD analysis, business planning and reporting at NOs; • Oversee, support and build NO efforts and capacities to build the Habitat brand and increase awareness  throughout EMEA; • Help implement area-wide activities, campaigns and initiatives to raise funds and build  HFH’s awareness, brand and reputation at the EMEA NOs; • Maintain close relationships with US HFHI, National Offices and affiliates in order to expand relationships to EMEA and maximize giving; • Assist in the recruitment, placement, training and mentoring of NO staff responsible for RD and related activities.


CAPACITY BUILDING SUPPORT


• Develop and maintain RD development tools and materials for NO, place them on a sharing platform; • Support the creation and review of RD and marketing strategies and annual operation plans, and provide feedback on fundraising targets and forecasts; • Support the creation of RD plans; • Introduce an analytical approach including the measurement of success via Key Performance Indicatiors (KPIs), progress vs. objectives, ROI etc.; • Organize the transfer of know-how and best practices from HQ and AO to NOs;

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA preferably in a marketing, business or project management-related field.  Master’s degree desired; • At least 5 years related RD experience, preferably in a federation or network. Experience working for international non-governmental organisation preferred; • Excellent knowledge of RD and marketing best practices, as it relates to INGO's and other international organizations; • Sound RD experience, qualifications and training (preferably in the housing or development sector); • Strong RD experience in EMEA with a focus on the relevant European and ME RD markets; • Coaching, consultancy, and advisory skills; • Project management experience; • Strong organizational and servant leadership skills; • Track record in implementing strategies in an international organization, INGO, UN or similar; • Relevant relationship management skills; • Understanding and experience in EMEA region and cultural environment; • Ability to facilitate and implement specific RD and marketing strategies and coordinate regional strategies;  • Able to lead by influence and strong negotiation skills; • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills • High proficiency in English required and fluency in 2 additional European languages preferred; • Computer literacy (MS office, database systems) and digital marketing experience preferred; • Based in office in Bratislava. Approx. 35 percent travel to National Organizations and HQ in USA.

  

The position offers a competitive package in the INGO market. The position is based in Bratislava which is a small, beautiful city. The cost of living is low and there are some wonderful places to visit close by such as Vienna (1 hour), Budapest (1 and a half hours), Prague (2 and a half hours), the Tatra mountains (2 and a half hours), the Alps (2 hours) as well as numerous other attractions. The city itself is very easy to get around, has all the facilities you need and a lot of green open areas to relax in in the summer. The summers are Mediterranean temperatures with a lot of lakes to swim in and the beach of Croatia only 4 hours away by car. The winters are snowy with skiing and ice-skating readily available.
