Elrha, a collaborative network currently hosted by Save the Children UK, is an initiative dedicated to improving humanitarian outcomes through partnership, research and innovation. We work to achieve our mission through three streams of work:

Enabling partnership: We enable people to work effectively together on research and innovation programmes.

Driving research & innovation: We invest in the highest quality research and innovation to address pressing humanitarian challenges.

Transforming practice: We commit to sharing quality research and innovations within our stakeholder communities to improve humanitarian policy and practice.

Elrha’s Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) supports organisations and individuals to identify, nurture and share innovative and scalable solutions to the challenges facing effective humanitarian assistance.

In this pivotal role your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the HIF is able to effectively provide innovation management support to a diverse portfolio of projects at different stages in their development.
  • Developing tools and resources to support the development of innovation thinking and capacity in the humanitarian sector.
  • Build broad, boundary-spanning networks to link ideas and people that might not otherwise interact, working across the humanitarian, private sector, and academic communities.
  • Input into the strategic development of the fund to ensure it is at the forefront of innovation practice in the humanitarian system.
  • Work across the HIF team to ensure we are successfully capturing, analysing and sharing learning on innovation processes from our funded projects.
  • Ensure the HIF is engaged and drawing learning from the latest innovation thinking in other sectors.

To be successfully you will have:

  • A passion for building relationships to drive change.
  • A proven track record in designing and delivering innovation, bringing ideas from conception to reality.
  • Experience and enjoy organising and facilitating workshops in order to bring new ideas to fruition.
  • Excellent organisational skills and feel confident reaching out to new players in the humanitarian innovation sector to build partnerships and share thinking and learning.

In return we offer a competitive salary + pension, structured career development, travel and the opportunity to join a team at the cutting edge of humanitarian research and innovation.

If you share our mission, are passionate about making it happen and strongly believe you can contribute then join us and we'll give you every opportunity to succeed. We look forward to hearing from you.
