This is an opportunity provided by the 'Tomorrow's News' - making the most of digital media programme: Find out more
The tools for instant, global communication now fit in the palm of your hand. Mobile phones and tablets are revolutionising the practice of journalism, with new opportunities for newsgathering and sharing content, and for engaging with audiences.
This programme involves attendance at the two-day Mobile Journalism Conference Asia, hosted by our partners Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, followed by a two-day Thomson Reuters Foundation training workshop.
The programme will teach you how to use mobile devices for effective storytelling. An emphasis on Reuters best practice video and photographic journalism techniques and visual grammar will help participants to get the best results from these “everyday” devices. You will also learn how to file finished material via social media platforms.

This programme is open to journalists from Asia who have a minimum of two years work experience as a journalist. You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in journalism in your country and have a good level in spoken and written English.
You will also be expected to bring your own recording equipment.

Thomson Reuters Foundation will provide economy flights to Bangkok and hotel accommodation (including breakfast), and cover entry to the conference and all tuition costs.
