Daniel Kaufmann, a Chilean economist, is a renowned expert on governance and anti-corruption issues worldwide. He previously served as a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and as a director of the World Bank Institute. He has pioneered approaches to measure and address governance and corruption challenges based on analysis of the evidence and practical experience in dozens of countries. His research and policy analysis and advise also extends to development, natural resource management, urban and labor economics.
