Cecilia Ramos joined the Thomson Reuters Foundation in August 2018. As Programme Officer for Latin America, she handles legal pro bono projects from TrustLaw’s community of NGOs and social enterprises and supports strategic legal research programmes on regional and cross-border issues. She also develops TrustLaw’s relationships with our members and has a special focus on modern slavery and women’s rights.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Cecilia worked as Project Leader at Fundación Directorio Legislativo, a leading legislative advocacy NGO from Argentina. Cecilia developed programmes related to access to public information, open government and legislative transparency. She also worked as Project Officer at the British Council Uruguay in Ceibal en Inglés, a national co-implemented educational program aimed to democratize the access to a second language in Uruguayan public schools.
Cecilia holds a Bachelor´s Degree in International Affairs from Universidad de San Andrés and is currently in the process of completing her Master’s Degree in Public Policy.
