Nanditha joined the Thomson Reuters Foundation in January 2020. As the Legal Officer for Asia, she handles legal pro bono projects from TrustLaw’s community of NGOs and social enterprises and supports strategic legal research programmes on regional and cross-border issues. She also manages relationships with TrustLaw’s legal network in Asia.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Nanditha worked as a corporate attorney at the Bombay High Court. She also worked as a research fellow at Only Through Us, a Washington-DC based immigration and refugee advocacy organisation where she researched on international refugee conventions and advocacy against islamophobia. As a volunteer, she has also worked with the Mumbai police on their citizen outreach efforts.
Nanditha has been admitted to the Bar in India. She received a master’s degree in International Legal Studies with a certification in International Human Rights Law from Georgetown University. She also holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Law and Legal Science from the University of Mumbai. Her interests include education policy, child rights, gourmet cooking and photography.
