Camila re-joined the Thomson Reuters Foundation in February 2021 after previously completing an internship in 2019. As a Programme Officer for Latin America, she manages our NGO and Social Enterprise members across the Latin America region and supports with the facilitation of pro bono legal assistance.
Camila is a certified translator, specialised in the translation of legal and social impact content, and co-founder of Betwixt Language Services. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked as a loss adjuster, doing research on and analysing policies and legislation, at Cooper Brothers Group.
Given her passion for human rights and social justice, she is currently completing her second degree, in International Law, at the University of Buenos Aires. She also volunteers at a nonprofit in Argentina and collaborates in the education and training of legal translation at the same university. She speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.
Camila represented the University of Buenos Aires and won the second prize in the Buenos Aires Legal Translation Contest and was awarded a scholarship to learn and develop cultural skills at the Developing Cultural Competence 2020 exchange facilitated by the North Carolina State University, US.
