Thomson Reuters Foundation training: "S in ESG Fast Track: Human Rights Due Diligence"

The Thomson Reuters Foundation has developed a pilot training "S in ESG Fast Track: Human Rights Due Diligence - Compliance, Disclosure, Success" that will bring together key actors in the ESG space, including lawyers, sustainability experts, and financial reporting specialists, to better understand human rights considerations under the 'S' in ESG and provide an opportunity to learn and collaborate across functions.

Law firms remain committed to pro bono amid global crises

The Thomson Reuters Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the 2022 TrustLaw Index of Pro Bono. The Index is the fifth edition of the Foundation’s survey mapping the global scale and trends of the pro bono legal sector, and the most comprehensive to date. The Index highlights successful pro bono programmes and provides benchmarks on pro bono participation, offering law firms a unique resource to build and improve their pro bono practices.

International Women’s Day: 8 ways the Thomson Reuters Foundation supports women and girls around the world

Today the world pauses to celebrate women’s achievements and contributions to society, but, with stark concern that gender inequalities have been exacerbated by the pandemic, it is also a rallying point for the unprecedented global movement advocating for women’s rights and opportunities to be equal to those of men. Gaining or losing ground at this critical juncture, where calls are being made for a Global Reset, is expected to define the global gender order for generations to come, with irrevocable effects on humanity, society and the planet.

Online communications training in ‘Breaking Down Barriers to Health Services in Africa’ held for civil society organisations (Part 2)

The Thomson Reuters Foundation – in partnership with The Global Fund – held an online communications training for civil society organisations implementing Global Fund grants in Africa. The programme focused on improving advocacy and storytelling skills, with the aim of empowering participants to communicate effectively on human-rights related barriers to accessing HIV, tuberculosis and malaria services - particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thomson Reuters Foundation and The Global Fund team up to deliver ‘Breaking Down Barriers to Health Services in Africa’ training for journalists (Part 1)

The Thomson Reuters Foundation – in partnership with The Global Fund – held a six-week online training for a select group of journalists in Africa. The course focused on building expertise in reporting on human-rights related barriers to HIV, tuberculosis and malaria services in Africa in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt the global economy, workers within supply chains are being adversely impacted. In response to these urgent challenges, in April 2020 the Thomson Reuters Foundation formed a community of leading companies to share best practice on ways to uphold the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
