Role overview
VSO is planning to implement the Unlocking talent project which aims at increasing core competencies in reading, mathematics and English for Standard 1 and Standard 2 primary school learners, using technology (Ipads). Part of the project requirements is to construct learning centres where the learners can have space to use the ipads. This post will help to advise and supervise schools and building contractors on building of learning centres which will be used by 25 to 30 primary school learners at a time. The post holder will also be required to develop technical/architectural drawings, bills of quantities and advise on different cost effective building models.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Minimum of a BSc in Civil Engineering with experience in drawing architectural plans, making bills of quantities and overseeing construction works. the post holder will also be expected to have experience in using friendly building methods.

The successful applicant will be required to take up the post as soon as possible.They will also be required to provide their own laptop. Please note that the whole project is for 36 months but the volunteer commitment is 24 months
