We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join us as Process, Systems and Change Manager, for our Global Programmes Division, working within our Division Operations Team to help us to optimise how we deliver high quality programmes for children.

At Save the Children UK, as we approach our 100th anniversary we are motivated by an unprecedented opportunity to make a difference.  Our 2030 strategy has set an ambitious agenda for the whole movement to achieve global breakthroughs in child survival, learning and protection.  As part of this we have set ourselves challenging goals for the next 2 years – and to meet them we need to change how we work.

As Process, Systems and Change Manager you will engage and work with people across different teams in our Global Programmes Division to build a cost effective, robust Division delivering against our organisational priority of strengthening the impact of our programmes and advocacy work – both in the UK and across the world.  With the Division Operations team you will drive major system change initiatives, while supporting the ongoing operating effectiveness and our people agenda.  Nevertheless, the core of your role will be our transformation programme aiming to significantly shift the way we work together.  Success in your first year would be:

  • Adoption of new ways of working aligned behind tightly defined objectives for key areas of change in the Division and across the organization.
  • Reaching year 2 milestones for our movement wide programme of operational improvement.
  • Further increase in our employee engagement results as a result of our people agenda.
  • Improved working with HR, Finance and other corporate functions.

To achieve this success, you will have experience in working within complex, large organisations.  You may have gained this through working in the charity sector or from outside it.  Proactive, organised and resilient, you will bring the hard and soft skills required to deliver change.  Most importantly, you will have relished implementing complex initiatives and have experience bringing people together and supporting them to adopt new ways of working.  Motivated by a big picture vision but with a rigorous focus on the details to get there, you will also have:

  • The ability to understand issues and work through to root causes to resolve them.
  • Experience communicating with and influencing senior management level leaders.
  • The ability to naturally build and work through personal networks.

Save the Children SCUK is a fast paced, changing environment and this is a challenging role.  We will expect you to build experience and develop your skills as part of our team.  In particular, you will gain exposure to how a large scale iNGO is led and the challenges associated with a global reach and you will increase your knowledge of applying change management methodology.

At Save the Children we are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children in our work. We will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including a criminal records disclosure.

Our mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. If you share our mission, are passionate about making it happen and strongly believe you can contribute then join us and we'll give you every opportunity to succeed. We look forward to hearing from you.
