Contract length: 12 months


The role
Responsible for managing overall financial analyses, financial reports preparation and reconciliation in Agresso, and budgets for the programme and other internal monitoring reports, supporting non-thematic and cross thematic allocation process, supporting the forecast process and uploading phased budgets in AGRESSO. Participates in organizational meetings to ensure accurate setup of cost structure for awards and periodic financial reports. Organizes portfolio level and project level meetings to review and discuss financial reports. Promotes financial success by proactively extending guidance and support on financial matters, providing high level analytical expertise and implementing good financial management practices

Qualifications and experience

  • Professional qualifications in Accounting or Degree in accounting. CPA, ACCA or CIMA will be an added advantage.
  • At least three year’s INGOs experience especially in budget setting and financial accounting
  • experience with management information systems and strong excel skills
  • experience of solving complex issues through analysis
  • excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • self-motivated with good time management skills and ability to prioritise workload, anticipate requirements, work to tight deadlines and communicate decisions on a regular basis
  • ability to operate in a changing environment: adaptable, flexible and supportive approach
  • Proven skills on managing changes, achieving results, ensuring quality, team building and capacity building.
  • Strong computer skills, especially on Accounting packages
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure as part of a professional team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including cultural sensitivity, assertiveness and negotiating skills.
  • Willingness to travel to field offices occasionally
