The team

The New Programme Development (NPD) team at Marie Stopes International (MSI) plays a critical role in driving the strategic growth of our global partnerships by delivering targeted increases in external funding. They are responsible for diversifying our external funding base and increasing the overall financial sustainability of our country programmes. They play a pivotal role in deepening our capacity in programmatic strategy and technical design from a global to country level.

The role

Offered as a 9 month maternity cover contract ideally starting late March 2015, you will have the opportunity to support country programs to develop dynamic and successful proposals for institutional donors, including bi-lateral and multilateral / institutional donors, private foundations, charitable trusts, and host country governments.

The role will also play a key role in developing regional fundraising strategies, facilitating project design processes, engaging with partners, and building the capacity of MSI country programs to execute effective new business development strategies. You will provide support, mentorship, and capacity-building to NPD Advisors and the NPD Officer.

About you

We see you bringing to the role experience working in international program management, business development, or international development. Experience in international health and with bilateral donors such as USAID and DFID. You'll have had exposure to strategic planning, programmatic design and budget development.
